I installed BASIC-256 on my son's (age 10) computer last week, and he spent hours and hours going through the tutorials and trying various programs. He just loves it!
I had been wondering for a while how to introduce him to programming, and this project was the answer. For the record, I learned to program in the late 1970's, first using Fortran on punch cards and then Basic + assembler on a TRS-80.
The only issues we had are with the documentation - it's great - but we need more! That being said, how can I help? I am interested in working on the documentation (e.g. examples for each command/function, more explanations) and more tutorials. I even have an in-house proof reader :-)
Take care,
Graham Wilson
