How to run in ubuntu linux?

  • Nobody/Anonymous

I am not sure how to run the program since there seems to be no executable
file. How do I run the files?

KH Coder is actually a perl script.
So you should do something like this in the console / terminal:

    cd kh_coder

But at first, you will get error messages like "Can't localte in
@INC..." It means that the required Perl module "hoge" is not installed on
your PC. You have to install it. And KH Coder needs a lot of modules.

And you have to manually install back end tools such as Stanford POS Tagger,
    MySQL, R and R libraries.

Also you have to configure the KH Coder settings to use Stanford POS Tagger in
the "Settings" window. And open config/coder.ini and edit "sql_username" and
"sql_password" to let KH Coder use MySQL.

Well, on Windows, you just have to double click *.exe to run KH Coder. But on
Unix like systems, there are many things to do.

    Best regards,

As you say "there are many things to do" to install KHC on Linux. I wonder, is there any chance of providing a bullet point list of steps to be taken to install KHC on Ubuntu / Linux platform?
