when the variables (.csv) files are loaded into the project, i end up getting a "records do not match, aborting the process". i cross checked the number of sentences and paragraphs (file from the child text) with the file for variables (child-variables) and everything seems to be alright! is there a reason for this error?
You seem to have CSS turned off.
Please don't fill out this field.
Thank you for your post!
Did you check the number of paragraphs in the main window of KH Coder? The number of "cases."
And do you select "paragraph" as the unit when you import variables?
Also, please note that KH Coder ignore blank lines in the child-text. So there should be no blank lines in the text data.
is there a limit to the number records present in the child-text? is there a set limit?
Hello from Japan.
There are no explicit limits within KH Coder.
But it would be comfortable to analyze the data file which is smaller than 100,000 paragraphs/documents or smaller than 50 MB in size. Because you don’t have to wait long time to get results if you analyze such data files.
About the processing time, please check this table too.
i am getting the following error during pre-processing:
"something went wrong with the database: bun_r table
KHCoder will exit now"
the text contains greater than 50000 sentences.
Did you try the quick start tutorial? And could you analyze the sample data "Botchan?" If you could, it seems that the problem is not in KH Coder but in your data. In this case, your data may include some problematic characters or expressions. You may try deleting all tab, "\," "<" and ">" characters from your data file.
About the error message, you got bun_r? Isn't it bun-bun_r1 or bun-bun_r2? I need an exact error message to figure out the problem.
50,000 sentences are OK. No problem at all with that number.
