I have had good success using khcoder. A great tool.
I do have one oddity that perplexes me. I have a medium sized text file with two levels of headings. When I run pre-processing, khcoder appears to succeed. However, I end up with a count of sentences that is oddly close to the count of paragraphs. It is also clearly not correct (e.g., most recently, 473 sentences, 403 paragraphs, 66 h2, and 4 h1). All numbers are correct except sentences. I assume I have made some error in formatting of the base text, but I cannot determine what that is. Any thoughts?
Even when running the English version of khcoder, my list of POS is in Japanese. I can figure out what the characters mean with a small amount of work, but I wonder if there might be a simple fix to this error. Re-download?
Thank you for this great piece of software!
You seem to have CSS turned off.

Thank you for your post! I appreciate the detailed information in your post.
I think you already changed the "interface language" to English. But you also need to change the "text language" to English. Please confirm the procedure in page 5 of quick start tutorial again. The title of the page is "Settings for Analyzing English Text."
I hope it helps.
Yes, you are right. I thought I had internalized all the steps, but I hadn't. Thank you, Tom
