Welcome to Kgnosis.

What is it?

KGnosis is an interactive, dynamic, streaming video game designed for early child, and other educational media

development. Interaction is achieved by allowing the child to select which letter, number, color or shape by use of touchscreen or motion capture. The answer is sent back to our server in order to update their content. It becomes dynamic by scoring the child’s answers and determine at what skill level they are on that subject. The next time the child plays the show, it updates itself to match their skill level. Furthermore our website would allow the parents to track their child’s progress and communicate with our content counsel who are in charge of overall planning format.

What is the project about?

Static TV, static learning games, has been the source of child development for several

years now. This project is about changing that, taking the concept of shows like

Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer and Blues Clues and making them an interactive

children education program.

Identify the Need
The need is simple, an active way for children to learn, at their own pace that

dynamically focuses on the child's weak areas while building on their strengths.

Create Content
Content is created based on a series of 15 minute scripts, individualized by

age, subject, and skill level. Giving a total of 72 different scripts, which is updated

weekly, and maybe even daily depending on resources. Backgrounds and basic animations

are contained on game disc, the rest such as the script, is streamed from our server.

This allows the writers to focus on the educational value rather then the aesthetic

value. Content is made interactive allowing the child to grab or touch the answer,

coupled with social and health education this will become one of the most interactive

child education tools available throughout the world.

Conduct Research
Research is done during the interactive part of the game, as a child learns to pick

out, the letters, numbers, shapes and colors that are presented in the game feedback is

transmitted to our servers and then tallied up per age group. Let’s say there are 100

kids in group A it will instantly let us know that 45% of group A have trouble with the

Alphabet and is in need of improvement.

Why are we building it?

In today’s media, we have two types of education for younger children. TV based content,

which is static and dry, never able to see if the child has learned anything, but

updating weekly and sometimes daily never knowing whether the child is ahead or behind

the presented material. Then we also have learning games in which may be dynamic but it

has a limited amount of information in which the child can interact with, but once its

done, it no longer has much use. Both limits the Childs interaction and physical

activity.
