#1 request for ongoing simplicity

I would like to request/suggest that you folks always
keep the driver(s) capable of operating in "PIO" style.
That is to say, if neither AGP nor DMA are available.
This will make it more feasible to port it to other
operating systems that may not have one or both of
those facilities available.

Once you guys have a stable release, I would
potentially be interested in porting the kernel side to
Solaris, if you keep the above functionality in there.
Give me a jingle when you get there :-)
