#10 Unable to upload

Whenever I try to upload photos using kflickr, I get a "http request failed (unknown host www.flickr.com)" error. It appears to upload the first photo, but not any more. I uploaded a screenshot to http://www.flickr.com/photos/avantman42/315923638/

I'm using Ubuntu Edgy, and Gnome is my desktop. I had kflickr working on Ubuntu Dapper, but I'm guessing that kflickr needs some KDE package that isn't listed as a dependency.

Version: 0.7 (KDE 3.5.5)

I have seen this error but not in a long long time and so can't think of any suggestions. I agree with you statement about missing kde components as kflickr makes use of kio plugins for preview images and http comms (kio preview and kio http). Try to download the source from SVN and compile it on the system by going into the trunk/kflickr directory and running 'dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot'. Let me know how it goes.

Never heard back from avantman42 regarding the issue. Will assume this was due to missing KDE components as it was being run under Gnome and this is the most likely cause.

Sorry, I forgot about this ticket until I got an e-mail from SourceForge.net telling me that you'd commented :-/

I'm running Ubuntu Feisty now, and KFlickr works again, so I think it must have been an issue with missing KDE components. Sorry to have wasted your time.
