    Looking at the /etc/init.d/keytouch script installed by the Debian package, I think this can be caused by keytouch-acpid. Because keytouch-acpid runs on a laptop (with acpid running), it will not exit. keytouch-acpid will not daemonize itself, so the script is responsible for making keytouch-acpid run at the background.
