#1 Access violation

Access violation when attempting to wrap comments, or use auto-wrap comments on windows Vista with ms visual c redistributables v 14.25.28508.3. Comment gets truncated at WrapAtColumn number.

• Sample text to reproduce the error.

Notepad++ version 7.8.6 32 bit

sample comment (this is a single line):
// Incidentally, we can pass anything this way, and that's how we could remove the "X" button from the pop up if I decide I want to do that. maybe something like hs.custom.hidecloseText or something.

Language: JavaScript

Action: Plugins ->Comment Wrap -> Wrap Selection
Result: Comment truncated, Access Violation

Also occurs with Auto Wrap Comments enabled.

Thank you, I can confirm that I can reproduce the bug and will start looking into it.

From an initial glance, it looks like the vertical edge settings in NP++ have changed, and this might be related to the problem, as my plugin reads these settings. However setting an explicit wrap column does not act as a workaround, which should bypass reading those settings. So it may be something else.

You're welcome and I agree, as I have the wrap set at 80 columns in the .ini file. Thanks for looking into it.

I have fixed the problem. It turned out to be caused by wrapping a comment line that was followed by a blank line, which was not covered by my test cases. New versions of the plugin have been uploaded to the downloads page.

Also I was apparently logged into the wrong account before. I didn't even realize I had two accounts...
