Kepty Documentation

Some lucky developers have downloaded the alpha release of the Kepty Web Framework. Four, to be precise. You'll find that there's a fully functional ORM system, some scaffolding, and some automatic input validation, but things are from from complete.

The best way to keep up with the current progress of the project is to check out a copy of the subversion repository. There's no installer (yet), and the code will run in the source directory, so there's really no disadvantages to checking it out (svn co https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/kepty\).... read more

Slow days

Slow days are coming to a halt soon here. I've finally received all the pieces I need to put together my computer, so I can get back to more programming.

I decided to go all out this time, so I'm running a computer that's pretty on parr with what's standard for today (compared to what was standard five years ago). I'm just working on getting video and audio working, then I'll be back for good. I'll probably get a good start on things this weekend.

Sourceforge subversion issues

Well, I've got some work done at the moment, but the subversion server is giving commits some issues. Specifically:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1563304&group_id=1&atid=200001

Until the issue is fixed updating the repository requires a whole heck of a lot of work, so expect commits to be less frequent.

Scaffolding almost done

Well, the scaffolding commands are almost complete. In fact, the command will actually build your viewer application for you.

kepty scaffold table_name

Creates an application named "table_name" mounted at /table_name, that becomes accessible upon restart of the framework. It's got sorting, pagination, etc. For a screenshot and a little more information take a look at http://kassemi.blogspot.com/2006/10/kepty-waf-scaffolding.html... read more

Kepty web framework public launch

Last night I set up the svn repository, so any of those early adopters can pick up what we've currently got, but it's rough, so I'd advise waiting until further notice if you'd like to get started writing an application at the moment. I look forward to an enjoyable experience with this project and hope it can be of use to someone out there.
