+ Feature: Add keka to Services and Context (ctrl+click) menus
+ Option: Delete original files/folders after compress/uncompress
+ Improve: Automatically uncompress .tar.bz2, tar.gz, etc. files
Feature: I've made not so far a Service using automator, but don't like the result, since is almost the same as "open with" option. Will find the best way. Any collaboration is welcome.
Option: Sure I can make it, as a preferences option.
Improve: I have this in the TODO list, to create tar.bz2/gz and extract it automatically. Just matter of time ;)
You seem to have CSS turned off.
Please don't fill out this field.
Little change :
+ Feature: Add keka to Services and Context (ctrl+click) menus "Compress with keka"
and 2 more:
Improve: Verify password on Advanced window :)
Option: Preserve Mac resource folks (.DS_Store, etc)
I'll upload a test keka version in a minute, with delete option to test. Take a look. I can implement it as full delete (no option to recover) or move to trash. By now I use move to trash option (low risk).
I can't find test version but maybe I' m noob or blind:D
sorry, I've deleted it. Try this:
I checked v0.1.2 test:
- Trash fuction seems to be good! (Mac OS X 10.6.2)
+Compress improve: Don't put single item (file) to folder
Other: Check 'The Unarchiver' and other tools for more useful options (:)
Question: Which engines are 64 bit?
Improve: Change 'Delete' word to 'Move to Trash' in menus:)))
Improve: Add 'Whats new'/Change log
I think most imprortant (don't forget):
Feature: Add "Compress with keka" atcion/workflow to Services (right/ctrl+click)
Thank for your support and marry christmas!
I'm working on services, I know it's very important and interesting think.
w-hen you say "add whats new/changelog" what you mean? In source there's a changelog file, in the web there's a changelog page, and If you update within keka (using sparkle) you can see the change of the new version. What u mean then?
I think he means that there is no changelog/release notes on sourceforge. Perhaps you could add a note to the files in the download section.
You should also mark the binaries as Mac only. Now it shows as if all systems are supported.
I like keka and seems will become powerful OS X app:)
There is missing change log:
Fixed on Macupdate and keka official site.
- Post keka on Apple Downloads site.
Oh ok! So I can't update all third-party app pages (macupdate, version tracker, wakoopa, dps, softonic...). I think just macupdate can use my rss xml, so it can show changelog I write.
On Apple Downloads site... I've made submission when first public version, but since then... No comments, no mails from Apple, no place for keka on the page.
At first Apple audits keka and then publish it... I think you should send keka updates to Downloads page
keka added to Services in Snow Leopard. It's just an "alpha" way to do it. I've uploaded the file you need in Files section. Give it a try!
I think all of the initial list is done...
- Service for right click: done (but need to be better!)
- Delete files: done (just need improvement in parted files)
- Automatically uncompress tar: done!
Waiting for your return!
