You're on an IRC channel, and you need help. Where is Niagara Falls? Well that's easy to solve. .wik Niagara Falls
should help you.
Or you've got a group of people and you're trying to organise a vote, and everyone's shouting at the same time. Confusing, right? .open_ballot
will do the trick.
Or maybe you're just messing around, and you need someone to roll dice fairly. Just type .roll 3d6
and you'll have three numbers and their total to use.
What's the thing that makes this all happen*? It's K-Eight, a simple Python IRC bot that works.
It couldn't be easier. First edit your keightconfig.py file. Secondly, run python keight.py
in the K-Eight directory. Thirdly, when K-Eight turns up the server, use the .command
format to control your bot. Lastly, have a go at making your own plugins. All you need is a bit of Python, and a vague understanding of how K-Eight works. I've even written a guide*!
Try these while chatting to your K-Eight, or use .help
for more information.

* Disclaimer: Of the three commands mentioned, only the .roll
command works at the moment. K-Eight may be brilliant, but it's also very much a work in progress.
* Disclaimer 2: I haven't actually. But I will. I promise I will eventually.
