#162 login does not accept auto-type userid and password

I've started logging in to a new site and have set up the userid and password in keepass (v2). The login process has separate screens for entering the userid and the password.

On the userid screen, when I initiate auto-type, I see that the userid is typed in correctly. But the site comes back with a message stating that the userid is not valid.

On the password screen, when I initiate auto-type, although I cannot see actual characters typed in, the "dots" that are typed suggest that only a portion of the password has been typed in. The site returns a message stating that the password is invalid.

By contrast, when I copy and paste from keepass, the userid and password are accepted and, in the case of the password, I can see that all the letters/numbers of the password are actually pasted into the password field.

Any ideas what I might do to troubleshoot this?

TIA, Phil
