No

When the workspace is locked, the current database file
remains open and the drive where the key is located
continues to be the current drive for the process.
When a kdb is stored on a USB device, I have to Exit
KeePass in order to eject the USB drive cleanly (Safely
Remove Hardware) - then restart KeePass to reload the
file later.

When the workspace is locked, close the current kdb
file and switch the current drive to the system drive -
one that won't likely end up being ejected.

Re-starting KeePass isn't that onerous is it?

I keep my db on a thumbdrive. When I get up, I take my
thumbdrive with me - I don't want to have to quit and
restart Keepass everytime I get coffee. Onerous? No.
    Inconvenient? Very much so.

    Thanks for an excellent tool.

If you loaded KeePass from your key you will still have the
same problem. As long as KeePass is elsewhere, this
    suggestion makes sense.

    cheers, Paul

Right - KeePass is installed on the hard disk - only my
    database is on the thumbdrive.
