I would like a way to right-click on the Password column (or other mechanism) and see ALL passwords in plain-text. This would come in handy to see if there are any unsecure ones or duplicates (I presume then I could click the heading and sort them as I can other columns which would also aid in rectifying poor passwords).
Similarly, all passwords are shown as 8 asterisks (*), I'd prefer an option setting to show the number of asterisks that the password actually has. Then I can quickly see if there are ones that are too short and could be improved. Optionally, maybe you can show them as "** (5)", "** (8)" , "** (17)" etc so it quickly tells me how many characters the password uses and I don't have to count them. :-)
Apparently there's no way to edit the ticket once saved. I forgot to mention, if you are concerned about security for showing all passwords at once, then perhaps you just re-prompt for the master password again before showing them all.
Press Ctrl+H to toggle hiding/showing passwords. See View>Configure Columns... for other Entry List View configuration options.
If you are concerned about password quality, install the Quality Column plugin and display the Quality column. You will be able to sort entries by password quality.
OMG! You guys rule! Thank you for pointing that out to me! I friggin' love this program.
KeePass let's me sleep at night better than diphenhydramine hydrochloride and counting sheep combined! :)
I would like to add:
There is a way to make keepass (version 2.52 64-bit) remember your password hiding setting.
Menu > Tools > Options.
Select the "Advanced" tab
Scroll down all the way to the "Advanced" paragraph
Set the checkboxs "Remember password hiding setting in the main window" and "remember password hiding in the entry editing dialog".
And one more Hurra for the people who develop KeePass. Best app ever! :)
