I need to import into KeePass 2x an XML file exported from the Vault 3 Outliner.

All values that Vault 3 exports to XML files are base64Binary-encoded. I can transform the Vault 3 "export XML" structure into the KeePass 2x "import XML" structure using a simple tool like Microsoft Word. But I need some help with the encoded field values.

Could you add a parameter to the KeePass 2x XML "import structure" that would tell KeePass 2x to decode base64Binary-encoded values contained in the input XML fields?

Or, maybe you could write for me and other Vault 3 users a plugin? Vault 3 can be downloaded from here: http://www.ericbt.com/Vault3/Download

In either case I will donate to the KeePass cause :)

Thank you very much in advance,
- Alex.

Actually, Alex Vallat already solved this problem and created a Vault 3 importer plugin for KeePass 2x.

He did it over this weekend, and I am very grateful for his willingness to help me out when I was stuck with two Vault 3 databases containing, literally, hundreds of notes. Converting them manually from the Vault 3 export XML to the KeePass 2x export XML would be a very difficult task for me.

    Bravo, Alex Vallat!
