    Hi,
I'm using KeePass for over a year now (version 2.21) on my Linux Mint machine without a problem but now suddenly I cannot open the password file anymore everytime I enter the password I receive:
Failed to load the specified file!
    Argument cannot be null.
    Parameter name: pwKey

I can open the same password file from Windows.
    Any ideas?

Have you ticked the "key file" box but not specified a key file?
Have you ticked a box you don't normally tick when entering your password?

    cheers, Paul

    Thanks Paul!
No, the "key file" box is not ticked only the "Master Password" one where I'm typing the password.
No, I haven't ticked a box normally I don't tick. I normally just type in the password and press enter - the same what I do now.

That's an odd one. Can you open the database in Windows? That will indicate if it's a problem with the database or the Linux installation.

Alternatively create a new database and see if you can open that.

    cheers, Paul

Yes, I can open the database from Windows, but couldn't create a new database in Linux, after typing in the Master password for the new database the application exits with the below error:

Looks like a mono error. Can you re-install mono?

    cheers, Paul

    Hi Paul,
You were right, it was a mono issue. But reinstalling mono didn't help, but then I remembered installing some additional mono libraries recently, so I checked my install history and then removed these:
Commit Log for Mon Jan 13 20:32:29 2014
    Installed the following packages:
    libmono-system-xaml4.0-cil (2.10.8.1-5ubuntu1)
    libmono-uia-atkbridge1.0-cil (2.1-2)
    libmono-uia-winforms1.0-cil (2.1-2)
    libmono-uia3.0-cil (2.1-4)
    libmono-windowsbase4.0-cil (2.10.8.1-5ubuntu1)
    mono-winforms-a11y (2.1-2)

After removing these now it works again!
    Thanks!!!

If only mono were not a moving platform.
