I run Windows XP SP3 with KeePass V2.21. For some registration processes I use successfully the auto-type feature. But in conjunction with framesets I'm not able to place username and password in the fields provided, for example, here https://email.t-online.de/. What particularities have to be considered here? Thank you very much.
On the above referenced page, the initial focus is not in the username field. Once the user positions the cursor in the username field, a standard auto-type sequence appears to works fine (I can't verify a successful login since I don't have an account). The frameset seems to prevent the user from positioning the cursor in the username field using only the keyboard, but the mouse works fine.
Thank you very much for the hint. Positioning the cursor manually in the username field, it works fine. But if I understand correctly, there is no chance to say the auto-type feature to do this job?
KeePass auto-type can only maneuver the cursor using keyboard strokes. Most sites open with the cursor in the username, so usually there is no issue. However, if the site does not, and you can't maneuver the cursor to the username field using keystrokes (usually tabs), you will have to position the cursor manually with the mouse.
Many thanks for the prompt answers. Now I'm sure that I need not continue to search for any solutions of my problem ;)
