On WINDOWS 7 system with multiple users (single pc). How do I share a single keepass database among the multiple users? All users can know the password to open the database.
I have a hunch this question has already been answered here but after several searches, I am unable to find an answer.
To share on a single PC: Place the database in a 'public' e.g. 'C:\Users\public\KeePass\' or other shared location and:
A. Set 'Lock workspace when locking the computer or switching the user' in 'Tools>Options>Security(tab)>Options' or
B. When KeePass 2.27 is released: Set 'Do not ask whether to synchronize or overwrite: force synchronization' in 'Tools>Options>Advanced(tab)>File Input/Output Connections'.
You could also set up a set up Synchronizing with Dropbox / other PC synchronization software trigger, but the first options are easier.
Backup your database regularly.
If you don't want users to modify the database use folder permissions to deny write access to those who should not be making changes.
