KeePass 2.x with auto-type on Mac

I'm desperately trying to make KeePass 2.x work on my mac os 10.8.4.

I tried KeePass2.20.1 for Mac from openix and KeePass 2.23 portable (started with 'mono /Applications/KeePass-2.23/KeePass.exe')

I have Mono (I tried with Mono 2.10.11 and 3.2.1 with the same results. Which one should I use?), XQuartz 2.7.4, and xdotool installed.

The portable KeePass generally works, but without auto-type. Moreover right clicking on an entry does not work.
In options the shortcut for auto-type is set to None and it is greyed out so it is impossible to set it.
Actually I'm not surprised that auto-type in portable KeePass can't work on MAC because it is simply written for Win, right?

But the KeePass2.20.1 for Mac from openix crashes each time I start it, mostly during update attempt, but sometimes I'm able to close the update window - then it crashes when I try going to options.
It crashes giving various problem reports each time, similar to those from thread but not the one wotj font problem (I can provide some exemplary reports if it can help).

    I'd like to ask:
    1. Is it possible to install KeePass2.20.1 and make global auto-type work on Mac OS 10.8.4?
    2. How? :)

And IMHO some short installation guide for MAC (saying what versions of what applications it requires) should be on

Mono is included in the openix package. Start by removing KeePass and mono, then install the package from openix.

    cheers, Paul
