I am using Keypass v2.24 with Outpost Firewall v8.1.2 and the system locks up every time I use the Keypass Auto-Type feature in both Windows XP and Windows 7. If I disabled my firewall Keypass Auto-Type works fine. I do use the system guard feature with Outpost firewall which blocks all unauthorized executables from being launched. I've tried to allow all Keypass activity in my firewall but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I do believe this is more of a firewall problem than a Keypass problem however I can't find anyone else who is using both of these programs together and had the same problem. I'd welcome any ideas.

The problem seems to be that Outpost blocks "sendkeys", which is what KeePass uses to send keystrokes to the computer.
I couldn't see anything obvious on the Outpost site. Try raising a question in the Outpost support forums.

    cheers, Paul
