Please, I need urgent help.
I was storing all my passwords for various websites (ftp login, wp login, mysql, etc), and today suddenly I couldn't open my Keepass DB.
What I found is that I actually miss pwsafe.key file from my computer - I don't know, maybe the AV or maintenance sw deleted it.
Is there any option to salvage something from db? I do have db file and I know the password, just missing the .key file.
Thanks in advance.
If it was deleted somehow, you may be able to recover it. I suggest a recovery tool such as Recuva: http://www.piriform.com/recuva
edit: Oops, noticed this topic is six days old. It may be too late.
Without the key file you cannot open the database.
If you know where the key file was you can try "Previous Versions" to see if a copy is recoverable.
Well, I already tried with few recovery tools, without success.
@ Paul, no, that can't work with me, I didn't set that option earlier, so I don't have any previous version.
Do you have a backup of the PC? The key file should be on the backup.
