I just started using KeePass last month and I really like it. However, I am seeing an annoying problem. KeePass seems to regularly scan all of my system drives, including shares. I am using KeePass portable on my E: drive. My database is also on my E: drive.
However, KeePass is scanning other drives as well - mostly shared drives that I also have active. I can see this with filemon. KeePass is scanning the root folder on all of these drives as well as many folders on my E: drive besides where the application and my data file is located.
This slows down KeePass, as some of these drives turn off after idle.
Why is this and how do I stop it?
I am running KeePass 2.22 on Windows XP.
Options / Advanced
Clear "Automatically search key files also on removable media"
I cleared several of the media flags and KeePass no longer accesses shared drives. I missed those options when I looked earlier.
