First, I'd like to say thank you to the creators of this software. I really appreciate it!
Now I have a question...
Since there's no way I'm going to be able to remember my passwords, I got a USB drive so I can carry my passwords with me.
I have KeePass 2.23 on my laptop, and I downloaded KeePass Portable 1.2 for my USB drive.
Do I even need KeePass Portable, or can I just copy KeePass to my USB drive?
If I do need KPP, how do I sync it with the version I have on my laptop?
You can just copy the KeePass files to your USB drive as well as the keepass.config.xml from your user directory.
Use the KeePass synchronization feature to keep multiple copies of your database current.
KeePass V2 and V1 are different and will not open the same databases. You must use the same version everywhere you have your database.
There is no difference between installed and portable KeePass when it comes to use. The installed version just has a nice Windows installer.
