Looking for links, websites and vocabulary to use to help answer questions...I will be using KP on my android phone, my win 8 tablet, my Linux server. I would, of course, like to sync all of these. I also have a my own domain and webspace and would like to store the file on the webspace. I can install a widget on my desktop so use the webspace as a virtual HD - think personal version of cloud, though I call it "fog" ;) I think there is even a widget for android to access my fog. Given all of these tools and options, what is the best way to keep every piece of hardware up to date?
I use a cloud provider TeamDrive for sharing my KeePass database across 3 Windows machines (Vista, W7, W8) and an Android phone. I don't use Linux at the moment but they do support this OS.
I use TeamDrive as all the data is encrypted on at source. Most cloud services encrypt data in transit but many do not encrypt "at rest" on their servers or encrypt in a way that could enable them to decrypt it. I know KeePass encrypts data anyway but I use cloud storage for more than my KeyPass database. Encrypting twice does no harm.
TeamDrive however also has an option to create the cloud file store on your own servers as well as on their servers and this might provide a solution and might be worth investigating. It is free.
