{clearfield} doesn't work in Linux under Mono

I'm struggling a bit to get KeePass running in the Linux Mint / Mono environment. I've got it mostly working, but I use {clearfield} a lot to get rid of any rubbish in the entry field. Instead of clearing the field it puts a couple of special characters at the start of the entry.

I'm on Linux Mint 15, mono and keepass 2.23.

As a workaround, there may be alternate keystrokes on Linux that are functionally equivalent to {clearfield}, e.g. on Windows {HOME}+{END}{DELETE} will select the contents of a field and delete them. The {DELETE} is optional since the next input would overwrite whatever was selected.

Thanks for the suggestion. To be honest, I'm a real beginner with Linux and I'm not sure how to do the key mapping in this environment. I need to spend a bit of time on it.

{HOME}+{END}{DELETE} works, with and without the {DELETE}. Thanks a million, wellread. I nearly gave up (again) with LINUX, but now I will fight on.
