I downloaded the German language file
    Unpacked it with WINRAR
transfered the LNGX-File to Keepass program

but it is not shown in the language-list

    What can I do?

The German language file works for me with KeePass 2.27 on Windows 7 Home Premium. I didn't use WINRAR when I unpacked the language file, but that shouldn't make a difference. The latest German language pack specified KeePass 2.27+. Are you using KeePass 2.27? Did you restart KeePass?

Otherwise can you provide additional details about your setup?

    *Are you using KeePass 2.27?**

    How stupid of me
    I had 1.27 installed

I changed it to 2.27 and I could change the language

    Thank you

If the KeePass 1.x edition is your preference, it also has language packs available on the same page, but the file extension is different.

The 1.x and 2.x editions of KeePass are both active projects, but the code base is different and they use different, incompatible password database file formats. If you have been using KeePass 1.x, your database will have to be imported into KeePass 2.x before you can use it.

If you are just getting started, 2.x is more feature reach. Most people will prefer it unless they have particular needs that make it unsuitable. An edition comparison is at http://keepass.info/compare.html.
