Is it possible to sync keepass databases? Here's what I want to do - I want to give my wife a copy of my keepass database with all the important household/financial logins and passwords in the event of my untimely demise. I would like to be able to sync it with my copy every once in a while to heep her copy current.
Sharing the complete Master Key, or saving it in a secure location accessible to survivors, is ususally the necessary and sufficient action required to allow your wife to have access to your KeePass password database. However, if the database Master Key includes a link to your Windows User Account then your wife must be able to access that account also.
If you also wish to share a database with your wife, Keepass 2.x can sync databases that are protected with the same Master Key. The syncing process can be automated with triggers. A preferred syncing method is described here.
It is also advisable to backup your database regularly to protect against loss.
