    Hi!

    Is it possible to use String fields from one ("main\common") entry in others entries as references?

    Thanks!

    Only with standard fields, not with custom fields i.e. "Referencing fields of other entries only works with standard fields, not with custom user strings. If you want to reference a custom user string, you need to place a redirection in a standard field of the entry with the custom string, using {S:<Name>}, and reference the standard field."

    For further information see the documentation on field reference

    According to the page http://keepass.info/help/base/fieldrefs.html isn't it possible something like {REF:O:customfield@I:1274621389746132846}

    If not, what is the purpose of code "O"?

    O can only be used as the SearchIn term

    You can use the O code to return an entry value from the entry that contains a particular string value saved in a custom field e.g. if you had stored a credit card number (6371372564298353) in a custom string field then the field reference: {REF:I@O:6371372564298353} would return the UUID of an entry that contains that credit card number.
