#1202 High ANSI issue when saving via ChromeIPass

KP 2.24
chromeIPass 2.6.6
Password generator set to include everything except spaces.

CIP generator tool receives and displays OK.
Tell CIP to save credentials, but the password shown in KP is not the same.

It looks to be an issue only with High ANSI chars. A quick play with Notepad++, changing encodings, makes me think that somewhere in the save process the password is getting converted from ANSI to UTF-8, but this is just a guess. I don't know if this is a KP issue, or whether it's down to KPH or CIP.

I'm new to KP (2 weeks), but I'm an IT guy, with lots of experience, so I'm happy to do some testing if needed.

Thanks in advance,

BTW, I don't see KeePassHTTP on the plugins page - http://keepass.info/plugins.html Is this deliberate?

It is most likely a CIP issue because KeePass never converts passwords, it writes what it generates / is passed by a plug-in. I suggest reporting it to the CIP developer.

KeePassHTTP is not listed on the plug-ins page because it's part of CIP.

    cheers, Paul

      Thanks Paul.

I've created a bug report on the CIP issues site - https://github.com/pfn/passifox/issues/242
Sorry, I only noticed after, that you'd suggested the KPH, rather than CIP, site. Hopefully, it'll still get seen by the right people.
