    Download the latest version of KeePass. In Tools>Options>Advance(tab)>Advanced(section) check Remember key sources (key file paths, provider names, ...). When you open the file File>Open>Open URL...> make sure you select remember username and password.

      Download the latest version of KeePass.
      -> already done (i have v2.23).

      In Tools>Options>Advance(tab)>Advanced(section) check Remember key sources (key file paths, provider names, ...).
      -> already done.

      When you open the file File>Open>Open URL...> make sure you select remember username and password.
      -> already done.

      But i noticed something strange:
      When it asks me to type my credentials into the fields, my ftp login-name is on the end of the ftp path.

      e.g.
      Login name: user
      ftp-path: ftp://ftp.domain.tld//

      but the given credentials in the path field is like:
      ftp-path: ftp://ftp.domain.tld//user

      but the username field is blank. shouldn't be the user name in the username field.? maybe thats the problem?

    The File>Open>Open URL... menu is used only for opening new databases, so the credential won't be remembered in this dialog. Use the File>Open Recent> to select the database with remembered credentials. The entry that contains the remembered credentials will show the username in parentheses.

    The correct syntax for a ftp URL is shown in the Wikipedia ftp article, it does not include the user as part of the path. However the conventions at your ftp site might include the user as part of the file path. KeePass will construct a full URL with correct syntax, but you need to supply the correct path including the file name and extension. If you don't know the correct path talk to your ftp administrator. You can also try entering paths in your browser. When you enter the correct path, your browser will typically prompt for your ftp credentials, then download the file requested.

    KeePass won't remember the credentials for a failed open.

    I usually open keepass with KeeFox in Firefox and the open dialog appears by itself. Maybe its a KeeFox problem? But the opened dialog seems to be from Keepass. Maybe the from keefox hand overed path isn't in the right format?
    The ftp path i use should be right. btw: i am used to ftp handling.
    why the user appears on the end of the path - i dont know. i did not typed it in that the way last time i logged in.

    Maybe its a KeeFox problem?

    That is something to investigate.

    At present there is no evidence that of a KeePass bug. You should move this discussion to the appropriate KeePass and KeeFox Help forums.
