If you open a database and let the password screen opened with the option "password in secure desktop" enabled, and you left the computer until the computer locks (by screensaver or inactivity), when you log in again the desktop is empty (you can see the wallpaper but only that, no taskbar, no icons, nothing). If you close your session by using the Ctrl+Alt+Del screen, your desktop gets back for a moment (and there is the "another application switched from secure desktop" keepass alert message) before the session closes.

I'm using KeePass 2.21 in Windows 7.

I can reproduce this neither on Windows 7 nor on Windows 8 (with KeePass 2.21).

Most likely there is some other application running on your PC that interfers, or you're using some desktop/login customization tool that behaves incorrectly.

    Best regards,
    Dominik
