No

Trying to save/sync a remote database file on a ftp server causes an error.
Seems Keepass 2.19 tries to add ":username" (in my screenshot its "keepass") at the
end of the filename. As ":" is not a valid char for filenames saving completely
fails.

This happens when saving a file to ftp, loading it works as expected.

The ":username" part is just for display. KeePass tries to save the file to the path specified before the ":", using the user name specified after the ":".

KeePass 2.20 will feature FTP-related improvements, so most likely your issue is fixed already. Here's the latest development snapshot for testing:

    Best regards

Thanks for the fast reply, so it seems i understood that error message wrong, as it turned out this was a problem of the user "keepass" who had insufficient rights to replace files on our ftp. everything works right now. thanks for pointing me into the right direction.

Glad to hear that it works now.

In the hope to reduce confusion, KeePass 2.20 will append the user name enclosed in parentheses instead after a ':'. For example, instead of
    http://test.com: user
    it'll show
    http://test.com (user)
