#2 compile/use KDing on KDE5?

This isn't really a bug, but as i couldn't get to compile the old sourcecode of KDing on KDE5 (Kubuntu 16.10), i'd like to ask for some assistance.
I couldn't find proper alternatives on KDE5/plasma.
Ding is very good but ugly and ksteak isn't available (KDE3 dependancies) anymore.
I hope this project isn't already abandoned.
