It would be very nice to have an advance and new user settings when kdiff3 is firstrun.
The advance settings could leave the software as is,
The new user setting could have a more guided way to help users achieve their goals.

For example it would be nice if the application gave a popup asking directoryA + directoryB + directoryC. These could be selected roughly the same as know. Then a small dialog could discover what the user aims to do, for example:
Do you wish to synchronize?
Do you wish to compare?
Do you wish to [idk..]

Then a followup dialog, for dir-compare, could be something like:
Merge files to directory A/B/C ?
Which files have priority? New/Size/Date/Binary?
Which directory is leading?

Stuff like that.
