The input and output windows display each line break as
a whitespace character. You can highlight or move
cursor in window to detect this whitespace character.
This is a bit confusing as a line break can be mistaken
as a space character.
Please consider displaying the line break character
using a visible character, such as a period. Also,
allow the colour of this character to be configurable
so as to distinguish it from normal visible text. For
those that do not like a visible line break character,
allow an option to enable/disable visible line breaks.
Another advantage of this is to be able to detect
excessive whitespace at the end of a line.

Correction: Please replace 'line break' with 'carriage
return'. I had the 'Preserve carriage return' enabled in
the Diff-Merge options. So this is a request for a visible
carriage return character.
Note that it would also be useful to have a visible
character mark the end of a line. Configurable.
