I was recently using KDiff to merge some folders containing mp3 albums.
Really works well, with one exception... I get the following errors when an
image file is processed by KDiff:
Some inputfiles don't seem to be pure textfiles.
Note that the KDiff3-merge was not meant for binary data.
Continue at your own risk.
Some input characters could not be converted to valid unicode.
You might be using the wrong codec. (e.g. UTF-8 for non UTF-8 files).
Don't save the result if unsure. Continue at your own risk.
Affected input files are in A, B.
In the meantime I've added *.jpg to my file anti pattern to avoid the
issue.. however, now all my albums are missing cover art!
Is there any way to solve this? Currently I have auto-detect unicode and
same encoding for everything setup in my config file.
Thanks,
Abram

The problem occurs because you load the Jpeg files as text files and then try
to save them.
This probably is not what you want anyway.
Since you are comparing folders you should select the file you want in the
folder tree and then menu "Directory"->"Run operation for current item" (F6).
