kdiff3 works fine for comparing some folders, but I have a folder where there is consistently a crash when kdiff3 tries to gather file comparison data. I have not determined what's special about this folder - the encoding of certain characters in a certain file name, perhaps? Anyway, I've attached the crash log.
By the way, on a different note, you should not leave the kdiff3 identifier as "com.yourcompany.kdiff3"; it is incumbent on you to change "yourcompany" to an actual unique company name.
