#105 Source from Clipboard containing german umlaut is not pasted

When pasting the contents of the clipboard to A or B and the clipboard contains german umlaute (ÄÖÜäöü), kdiff3 will shorten the copied text by half of the number of umlaute contained:

äöüÄÖÜ is pasted as äöü

And btw, after pasting identical contents to A and B, kdiff3 states that 'Files A and B have equal text, but are not binary equal' - but I know it is equal because its the same clipboard source.
