[Kde20devel-translators] Open Publication License

People have been asking about the license for _KDE_2.0_Development_.  This 
book is licensed under the Open Publication License v1.0 with Option B, which 
can be found at http://www.opencontent.org/openpub

First of all, this is not the Open *Content* License, which is called the 
OPL.  The Open Publication License has no short name.  Perhaps we could use 
"OPubL" for short to avoid confusion.

Now for the important stuff:  
	MacMillan owns the copyright on KDE 2.0 Development. 
	Option B of the OPubL says the following:
"Distribution of the work or derivative of the work in any standard (paper) 
book form is prohibited unless prior permission is obtained from the 
copyright holder."  

The way I understand the situation,
	We can't print translated versions of the book.
	We can electronically distribute copies of translations and, of course, a 
person can print a copy for her/himself.
	The translator owns the copyright to whatever (s)he produces, so no one else 
can print it either -- without the translator's permission.

In other words, with Option B, modifications, generally, can be printed, but 
not along with the original work.  When writing a translation one can not 
disentangle the modification from the original work.

Of course, it's possible I'm mistaken, so a more
authoritative interpretation (hint hint, D.W. :) might be helpful.
