I'm trying to compile kdar but make failed. I also
register this issue in dar n°879371 as I don't know the
impact of my pb.

I've followed the RedHat 9 compilation procedure.
As make failed, I put all the information on RedHat9.kdar file.
I don't know how Simon Batchelor installed
libstdc++-devel-3.3.2-1.i386.rpm (see my output).
What are the aim of the directory and symbolic link?

I retreive /opt/GNU/gcc-3.3.1 directory and the symbolic link
I install dar-2.0.4 and try to compile kdar-0.3.4 but make
fails in kdardlg.cpp (dar-2.0.4_kdar-0.3.4) exactly as in
I set again /opt/GNU/gcc-3.3.1 directory and the symbolic link.
=> kdardlg.cpp compile without error
=> make fails with the same error than in dar-2.1.0_kdar-1.0 :
refer to dar-2.0.4_kdar-0.3.4_directory file
updated dar with dar-2.1.0_kdar-1.0_v03 output file
updated dar with dar-2.1.0_kdar-1.0_v05 output file

I have been able to reproduce your infinint::... errors by
enabling largefile support on dar-2.1.0. Immediate fix, as
suggested by Denis, is to configure libdar without largefile
Denis, I agree that this problem should be fixed before the
stable releases. I have to study your comments and understand
this first though.
kdar-1.0-beta2 now released on http://www.sf.net/projects/
kdar should fix the largefile compilation problem (i.e.
infinint::... problem). Please let me know whether you can get
beta2 to compile.

The 'touch configure.ac' / configure / make generates an error
I updated dar wtih dar-2.1.0_kdar-1.0_v06 file.
I'm going to test your beta2 release and let you know
kdar-1.0-beta2 works with dar-2.1.0pre4: GREAT!
