Version 3.1.3

I backup up my home directory to an NFS drive before a
risky procedure and when I attempted to recover the
archieve the header of the file was intact.

Over 20 years in IT I have seen countless restores fail
because the archieve file was not verified. The only
possible reason to perhaps turn off verification is a
working system that is changing all the time I.E a mail
server.

Without verification being a default option the
usefullness of an archieve, because of its size and
often remote location is ALWAYS questionable.

I have seen too much loss of data and 1 client had 1
months of incremental backup useless becuse the file
was not verified.

Please include this option with urgency - despite the
integrity of the O/S file system this option IS
desperately required.

If there is a global system file verify option appart
from file system standar checks please advise
