Can kconfigure unpack tar files, to a temp dir, configure, complie and install the program and then delte the temp dir leaving an install program and the tar file (also I think i would be cool to have an option where it could delete the tar file as well.
Oh an one more thing that whould be cool, is if it could keep a record of all the files that it has installed so that you can uninstall the programs using this program to.

Those are some great ideas... too bad I can't program all that well! hehe
This would make Slackware a hands-down winner over all other distros! Just download src's and uninstall the old ones -- blammo! New system.
