      There is a bug where unchecking "use KDE Wallet" will not store the password on file. Try unchecking "use KDE Wallet", quit kcheckgmail, run it again and enter the password. (kde wallet should be disabled)

      I tried to store password using kwallet. But it always says "KChekGmail cannot store your password securely in your wallet. Do you want to save the password in the unsafe configuration file instead?"

      So I tried doing as you tell here... But it doesn't manage to log in.

      kaunching program from a shell it tells:

      "QGArray::find: Index 0 out of range
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data"

      Thanks,
      Andrea

        Have you made sure kwallet is enabled? Can you create a wallet using the wallet manager?

      You're right sorry. I didn't enable it. Now it can store password... But I sitll got some problems:
      1) still got this output from a shell (I don't know if it's correct):
      "QGArray::find: Index 0 out of range
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data
      QPixmap::resize: TODO: resize alpha data"

      I use version 0.4 ;)

      2) In the alternative browser setup I must configure "firefox https://gmail.google.com" in order to open gmail on click instead a white page (maby this is the right behavior...)

      3) It doesn't seems to work: I just have a blank paper on the systray... What should happen? I can't find out any screenshot or man in order to understand how it should work ;)

      Maybe as the program tells gmail pages are changed?

      4) I can't configure notification

        1) What version of qt/kde are you using?

        2) You should have something like "firefox %u". "%u" will be expanded to either the gmail inbox or a specific message.

        3) Did your install work properly? you should have some icons like:
        $KDEDIR/share/icons/crystalsvg/32x32/apps/kcheckgmail.png

        4) Could you be more specific about this one?

        Cheers,
        Matt.

          1) I'm using KDE 3.2 & Qt 3.2.3 on a Mandrake 10.0 OE

          2) You're right. Now it's ok

          3) Yes there's:
          /usr/local/kde/share/icons/crystalsvg/32x32/apps/kcheckgmail.png

          But i think that it's not installed properly...

          4) If i chose Configure Notification from the menu, I can't configure any event 'cause no event are present.

          If I go in the Kcontrol kcheckmail is not in the list of the notification events...

          And also...
          5) When I launch the application it tells:
          [eagleone]$ /usr/local/kde/bin/kcheckgmail
          KURLRequester::setProperty( "showLocalProtocol", value ) failed: property invalid, read-only or does not exist

            Ok, it looks like an installation problem.

            Try this:

            $ export KDEDIRS="/usr/local/kde"
            $ /usr/local/kde/bin/kcheckgmail

            If you install kcheckgmail where your main kde installation (check using kde-config --prefix) you wont have to do this.

            Cheers,
            Matt.

              Thankyou!
