New Application

I am excited to announce a new project called Keyboarding Master. Its currently in the planning stage but will quickly move to development. I am the developer of jnostromo project and I have been getting some requests to enable jnostromo to work with other devices such as mice as well as make it work on other platforms like OSX. In order to do this with jnostromo would require a lot of work.

Instead, I thought I could bring my expertise from jnostromo to a new project that is designed from the ground up to handle all types of keyboards and all types of mice. All of the functionality from jnostromo will be present in Keyboarding Master but also include new features like being able to save to the cloud; of course, this is optional. Keyboarding Master will always provide its users the ability to easily save their profiles to file without having to register unlike other driver services!

I am also redesigning the interface to be more easily configure your favourite devices. To do this, I will be utilizing the latest in Java UI technology by selecting JavaFX. Its a library that I have been researching for a while so I hope to be able to fully utilize its power and cool graphical features.

I am also attempting to do something different with this project. I would like this project to evolve into something that I can devote more of my time on. In order to accomplish this, I will be requesting funding. One of the funding channels will be from you, the user. I will incorporate a crowd sourcing model where you can choose which feature is developed next or which device driver you want implemented. The initial release will be for linux 32-bit and 64-bit systems. If there is a desire from the user base to develop OSX drivers, then this can be done if the appropriate funding is allocated.

I'll be posting a web page in the near future that contains the various donation tools.
