#49 Error When Talking to SSH

I have installed Kbear 2.1.1 on FreeBSD 4.8 and KDE
3.1. When I try to make an SFTP connection, I get the
error message:

error encountered when talking to SSH.

SSH is running. Looking for help
troubleshooting/fixing this. If you reply, please
consider me a novice. Thanks.
