#40 Kbear can't connect to ftp sites, gives 'Qobject' error.

I have installed kbear and its unable to connect to any
ftp sites. I can launch kbear just fine, but if i try
to connect a window pops up and then quickly
dissapears. Any workarounds for this? I really like
kbear, hope i can use it someday. The error message on
the console is this:

~$ kbear ftp://ftp.kde.org
QObject::connect: Use the SLOT or SIGNAL macro to connect
QWidget::QObject::connect: Use the SLOT or SIGNAL macro to
connect QWidget::WARNING: Pixmap not found for mimetype

Specs:

Debian Sid unstable
Used Debian's unstable apt repository to install kbear.
gcc 3.3.1
Qt: 3.1.1
KDE: 3.1.3
KBear: 2.1

Note: i even tried to compile the alpha and 2.1 from
source, but gcc 3.3.1 kept giving 'recursive' errors
when i ran 'make.' So i had to do apt-get.
