#28 The connection "fades out"

After I connected to my friend's ftp server and started
uploading files (some mp3s), the upload speed
fluctuated from 42 kbps to 62 kbps. Then suddenly it
went down to 9.1 and stayed there, occasionally going
up to 18.3 kbps which is no big deal, right?

The problem is that eventually it just "died". I mean the
speed dropped to 0.00 and I don't understand why.

The speed is received from the kio slave and out of my
control, just displaying what I receive. Still it shouldn't drop to
zero but I've also noticed this even if the transfer is actually
working. Is the transfer stopped for you ? or is it just the speed
display that drops ?
