I am really impressed the way KBear looks and would
really like to try and convert to this software, but
until know I have never been able to connect without
Kbear locking up.
Everytime I hit the connect button(Site Manager or
QuickConnect) kbear locks up. When run out of console
the following is reported
[jmak@jmak jmak]$ kbear
QObject::connect: Cannot connect KAction::activated()
to KBearFileSysPart::(null)
QToolBar::QToolBar main window cannot be 0.
QToolBar::QToolBar main window cannot be 0.
QObject::connect: Use the SLOT or SIGNAL macro to
connect QWidget::
KDirWatch: /etc/security/fileshare.conf is a file. Use
addFile!

KAction::activated() to KBearFileSysPart::(null)

Any ideas...
I am running Mandrake 9.0(but had the same problem with
kbear in debian woody with kbear v1.21. Standard
kernel, kde and the usual. I also tried to my local ftp
server(on my own machine) but this still doesn't work.
Other clients does work perfectly with this site and
all the others.
I would really like to know if there is anything i can
do? If possible would like a reply to my mail
13596128@sun.ac.za, otherwise I will try to get onto
the internet. Don't know when I will be able to connect
to the internet again, but mail is delivired via local
server's.
Thanx in advance
Tinus
