We are very glad to announce the first pre-release of the upcoming KBear 2.=
0.
Note that this release is a development release, released mainly for=20
bugtracking, not meant for daily use.
This new release has undergone a total reimplementation with lots of new=20
features and imrovements.
This release require KDE 3 and Qt 3 to compile and run.
News since last release:
=2D>Multiple protocol support, ftp, sftp (secure ftp using ssh) etc.
=2D>Now has it's own ftp-kioslave.
=2D>Full logg for the ftp protocol.
=2D>Improved connection management.
=2D>Taking advantage of KDE:s component technology (KParts) for internal fi=
le=20
previewing.
=2D>Improved Sitemanager plugin that even plugs into Konqueror.
=2D>Tools plugin.
=2D>Import filter plugins for bookmark files from various ftp clients.
=2D>Open for second part plugins.
=2D>Extended Mdi now with three different view modes.
=2D>Firewall support for ftp (only partly implemented yet).
=2D>Sitemanager database daemon.
=2D>DCOP interface for both Sitemanager and KBear.
=2D>More settings options both on application and site level.

If there are anyone interested in writing import filters please contact me.
We also need people behind firewalls who are willing to do some testing,=20
please contact me for this.
